ABOUT
Owner: Troy
I wanted to give people of all ages a place in which they could find and keep up to date with new music and live events. It was for the average person to be able to come in and find an album they love or get help about maybe their first record purchase without feeling like they didn't belong there. I don't believe you have to know everything about music to enjoy buying vinyl records.
tROY'S favourites:
It's the obvious one but it's the branded tees, hoodies and totes. It's a true imposter syndrome moment seeing people cut around in clothing promoting the business you have built. It's exactly what it's supposed to be, it's cool.
WHY ASM?
There could be a million and one reasons, but most importantly it's the team, it's the people who made it happen. From hospitality team at LBL to each individual vendor currently inside the market, it's positive, it's a shift to the future of Blackpool and what it could be.
Living in Blackpool my entire life I want more, I want people to see the potential it has like I have for many years. Abingdon Street Market is a very prestigious location, I think it's a real privilege to be a part of something so important to the town centre.
FUTURE GOALS?
Expand on what we already have. More new releases, in-store performances, listening parties, signings, new merch, live events. The end goal is for Inertial to always be the first and most reliable outlet for music related subjects. Wouldn't mind pressing our own vinyl records at some point either.
